Sewer Scope

• Why should you have a sewer scope as part of your inspection?  Because “out of sight/out of mind" could mean "money out of pocket”.

• Home inspections are performed every day.  Major systems such as the foundation, roof, electrical and HVAC are often the biggest concern for clients, and rightly so.  The sewer line is probably the least evaluated, but one of the most expensive systems to repair or replace. 

• A sewer scope is a video inspection that allows us to see the lateral sewer line leading from the house to the city or HOA tap or to the septic tank. A sewer scope inspection can help reveal if there are any issues with the sewer line, such as broken or crushed pipes, root infiltration, joint offsets or disconnections, bellies or sagging lines, blockages, etc., before you purchase the property.
